  • Tweety Bird

Hand dyed tonal 100% Merino Wool.  My youngest daughter said “Mama, you should do some yellow”.  So I did.  We got a great yellow color, with a total of three different related yellows. 100g skein Share on Facebook

  • Kermit’s Pad

Merino Silk (70/30) blend fingering weight sock yarn.  I was experimenting with creating a wide variety of greens and this was the result. It reminds me of the greens that make up  Kermit the Frog.  100g skein Share on Facebook

Thank you Hammond Castle and Abbadia Mare Festival

  • August 10, 2011

We had an absolutely lovely time at Hammond Castle which played host to our second festival this year.  If you missed it, you missed a very fine time. I will be updating the site with photos of all remaining items, and, with luck, will be able to open the commerce portion of the site by September 1, 2011.  There will be plenty of shopping days to your winter holiday of choice… Share on Facebook

Thank you Winslow Farm and Winslowshire Ren!

  • July 9, 2011

A lovely, lovely time was had by all, despite the weather, which was exceedingly rainy the day before and the night between.  The animals were charming (particularly the roosters who had broken crows: all cock-a-doodle and no doo as my friend Kathy said), the patrons were gracious and the rennies, well, to a one, the merchants and performers and crew were all top notch.  I am proud of my community and can’t say enough how much we enjoyed ourselves. In addition to all of that, I laid hands on some amazing alpaca fleece: the farm had just shorn their three…

9 days and counting

  • June 16, 2011

Well, then. Between the day job and the dye pot, I’ve been a *very* busy girl.  Right now there are approximately two dozen posts related to the yarns and fibers I had photographed before getting sidelined with life. Since then, I’ve done many more skeins, dyed many bundles of fiber, gotten spindles, and have been spinning and knitting.  There hasn’t been time made to photograph the newest items, but on the plus side, my other half has gotten a fancy new camera which will make it easier. I’ve been challenging myself to actually complete some of the *cough* many projects…

Zinnias

Cherry Bomb

  • February 26, 2011

Thick and thin handspun yarn: this was taken literally as this came off the bobbin, so it has not been finished yet, so it still has a LOT of intensity to the spin.  There are tones of reddish pink, yellow, and orange. Yardage and weight will be posted once it’s completely finished. Share on Facebook
